Dateline: Day Three

Well the drive from LV to LA is not as exciting as you might think.  It was not fun at all actually.  The Mojave Desert had nothing but $3+ gas and sand.  It took us right around four hours to get to the apartment.

Speaking of the apartment it is very satisfactory.  A spacious front room.  The beds are in there and then you go into the kitchen and the bathroom.  Much bigger than I anticipated.  I wouldn't mind staying here if I can afford it.  If you would like to help me stay here please send money to Sharon.  Please put "For Shame" in the memo line.

We then went to the Tonight Show.  It was a good show.  Always fun to see things like that done.  The guests weren't huge but Lynyrd Skynyrd was there.  Ricky Gervais was there too.  He was on the British version of The Office and brought it here to the US.  He was very funny.  His new comedy "The Invention of Lying" looks very funny. In a world where no one can lie, the one who can has it all.  Ricky also dumped water on Conan's head.  It was staged but still very funny.  But the local promos for the show they taped during a commercial break were probably the funniest things all night.  Conan and Ricky just cut up the whole time.  Fun to watch.

We then went to Lucy51 for dinner and the Colts game.  It's odd that Monday Night Football starts at 5:30pm here.

Tomorrow we look for more permenant lodgings and then we go to a taping of Gary Unmarried.  So tune in tomorrow for that story.

I hope you all are doing well!
Charles

  1. Love this entry. Not that anyone really would, but I'll keep my eye out for checks, just in case. Nice touch, honey. :-)
